REMIE (NEW)

ALEX

BELLA

This 2 year-old Chihuahua was very ill, and a series of procedures were performed before he was finally diagnosed with a very rare portosystemic liver shunt. Remie was referred to specialists, but Remie's mom needed help to cover the cost of the expensive surgery. Thanks to Buddy Care supporters, Remie will have the opportunity to live a full and happy life.

When this 5 year-old black lab mix needed emergency surgery to repair a twisted stomach, his owners declined treatment and surrendered him to a local vet. But a family member came forward to assume responsibility, hoping to save his life and adopt him. When she needed help covering the mounting medical costs, we were able to assist and save Alex's life. He's recovering well and headed to a new forever home in sunny Florida.

This sweet 2 year-old was adopted from a high-kill shelter in Florida. It didn't take long before they discovered that she needed urgent medical care for severe heartworm disease. Treatment is now complete and Bella is loving her new home. Bella's owner has decided to go back to school to become a vet tech, with the eventual goal of starting her own dog rescue organization!

BLACK BEAR

BUDDY

CINNAMON

Black Bear's family let him outside, and when he returned, he had been shot in the face. Not even one year old, Black Bear had extensive injuries that required urgent and specialized care. The surgeon removed about 75% of his lower jaw bone and a large portion of his lower lip. And while the damage done will be noticeable, he is expected to live a relatively normal life.   Buddy's owner took in the 5 year-old labrador after he was abandoned by neighbors that left the area, and left him to roam the streets fending for himself. He was in terrible condition and needed urgent care including emergency neutering and life-saving treatment for heartworms. While his situation was critical, he is recovering well and enjoying his new home.   Cinnamon, a 2 year-old Doberman/Lab mix, was abandoned along with her 4 puppies. Thankfully, a local rescue found homes for all of them. But 3 weeks later, during a routine spaying procedure, it was discovered that Cinnamon's intestines were twisted together. Without immediate surgery, she had only a week to live. We're happy to say that Cinnamon is expected to make a full recovery!

DAISY

ECO

KAIN

Daisy, a 10 year-old Pomeranian/Poodle, desperately needed a blood transfusion and emergency surgery to remove her uterus due to Pyometra. Unable to afford the surgery, Daisy's family was facing the possibility that she would have to be euthanized. We're pleased to announce that Daisy's surgery was a complete success and she is expected to make a full recovery!

When this 3 month-old chocolate lab in Texas was unable to keep down his food, they discovered that he had a very rare condition called Persistant Right Aortic Arch. Eco's esophagus had a ring of scar tissue around it restricting the passage of food. Urgent surgery was needed to save him, and thanks to generous Buddy Care supporters, Eco can now live a long, healthy life.   This sweet 5 year-old Pit Bull was rescued from an abusive situation, by court order, earlier this year. Now in a loving home, he was in desperate need of emergency surgery for a tumor that had turned his rectum inside out. Without urgent care, he was facing euthanasia. Our loyal supporters stepped up, and Kain is getting lots of love and care in his new home. A well-deserved fresh start!!!

KYRA

MACEY

NICK

20 month old Kyra ruptured her ACL 3 weeks after being adopted. She needed TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) surgery which required an orthopedic specialist. Without the procedure, she would have been euthanized. We are proud to announce that Kyra's surgery was successful and she is recovering at home with her new family.

This 6 year-old lab mix, owned by a disabled teenage foster child, was hit by a car and needed surgery to save her back legs. Without the surgery, Macey would have been euthanized. Donations flooded in allowing us to save her life and ensure that Macey can continue to provide love and friendship to a special young girl that needs her.   This sweet 11 year-old Pomeranian needed surgery for a life-threatening dental infection. Nick's owner was disabled and on social security, and her mother had just passed away. With medical and funeral expenses mounting, she needed some help. Because of the generous donations made to Buddy Care Foundation, Nick has many more years ahead of him - and his owner has a friend during these difficult days.

RAMBO

RANGER

ROCKY

This 1 year-old Boston Terrier had trouble breathing due to an elongated soft palette. He was unable to breathe well, and surgical correction was urgent. Dependent on social security, Rambo's human mom needed some help - and we were able to provide it. Rambo's surgery was a complete success, and he'll be breathing normally for many years to come!   This 5 year-old German Shepherd was hit and dragged by a vehicle on a horse ranch where he lived. He was rushed to the vet by a farm worker after the owner declined to get him help. The extensive injuries required the leg to be amputated, but Rocky is recovering well and he has a new, loving home with the good samaritan and her family.   This 8 year-old Cairn Terrier needed a mast cell tumor removed in order to save his life. His owner is fighting a terminal illness, and was not able to afford the surgery. It was a complete success, saving not only Rocky's life, but his leg - which they initially thought would need to amputated. Rocky lives to fight another day!

ROSCOE

SPUNKY

SUZY

This 8 yr-old Beagle was having prostate issues, and we were in the process of approving his case when we received word that he had been seriously bitten by another dog. An emergency surgery was scheduled to close up his wounds and tend to his other needs at the same time. We're happy to report that Roscoe is now healthy and recovering at home.

Spunky lived up to his name when he jumped on top of his family's gerbil cage. This 1 year-old Chihuahua's leg got stuck and he suffered a severe fracture. Complications developed, and Spunky needed surgery to save the leg and ultimately his life. We're happy to announce that Spunky's surgery was a success and he is expected to make a complete recovery.   When this 5 month-old Shar-Pei/Retriever mix was hit by a car in Southern California, surgery was needed to save her leg. Her human mom, a single mother of two small children, needed some help to cover Suzy's unexpected medical needs. We're happy to report that the surgery was a success and Suzy is expected to make a full recovery.

TE'O

TITAN

ZOEY

This 1 year old shih-tzu pup needed immediate surgery to repair a Peritoneopericardial Hernia, which caused pressure on his esophagus and trachea. His owner rescued him in poor condition from a shelter last year, but is currently unemployed due to medical issues. Te'o has overcome a variety of obstacles in his short life, but he now has the chance to live a long and happy life.   This beautiful 6 year-old Mastiff mix needed emergency surgery to remove a large infected mass. His owner is currently on disability due to a serious work-related injury and needed some assistance. Thanks to generous donations, we were able to get Titan the surgery that he needed, and he is now back home recovering.   Zoey needed urgent surgery for a cruciate ligament rupture - which required a specialist. But because her human mom is disabled and her human dad was recovering from major back surgery, the finances were just not available. Buddy Care was able to step in and the surgery was a success! We're excited to announce that this 3 year-old pup now has a long life ahead of her!
